Welcome to the Marathon County Beekeepers Association! Each year more and more men and women take on the responsibility of beekeeping. With estimates of 140 to 212 thousand beekeepers in the United States alone, 95 percent of these beekeepers are hobbyists! Beekeepers and honeybees play an integral part in pollination of our crops and the production of honey. Hobbyists and part-time keepers account for 50 percent of bee colonies and about 40 percent of honey produced.
